HPS Grown Your Own Teacher Program and Harmony Honor Scholarship (HHS)
The Grow Your Own Teacher Educational Assistance Program (“the GYOT Program” or “Program”) is Harmony Public Schools’ (“HPS”) commitment to advancing knowledge of its students and graduates by encouraging students and graduates to pursue a career in education.
A Program objective is to allow eligible HPS students and graduates to obtain any undergraduate degree along with the attainment of a Texas teaching certificate. Program participants (“Participants”) will also gain positive work experience and will receive compensation through employment with HPS, as well as financial assistance with higher education tuition and related costs. Finally, Participants will have an opportunity for continued employment in a teaching position with HPS.

ROTC Scholarships
The Navy Reserve Officers Training Program (NROTC) is a multi-year program that runs concurrently with a student’s normal college or university educational course of study. In addition to a normal academic workload leading to a Baccalaureate degree, NROTC students attend classes in Naval Science, participate in the NROTC unit for drill, physical training, and other activities, and are generally taught the leadership principles and high ideals of a military officer.

UT Arlington The Surge Program
The SURGE (Scholarships for Undergraduates to Reach Goals in Education) program in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas at Arlington invites qualified undergraduate students to apply for S-STEM* scholarships. The scholarships provide each recipient with up to $10,000 per year for up to three years. Undergraduate students at all levels, including incoming freshmen, will be considered for these scholarships. Students from underrepresented minority groups are especially encouraged to apply. Texas Woman's University S-STEM
U.S. Presidential Scholars Program
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. In 1979, the program was extended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional talent in the visual, creative and performing arts. Each year, up to 141 students are named as Presidential Scholars, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students.
JKCF College Scholarship
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is a new undergraduate scholarship program available to high-performing high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities. Selected from a nationwide pool of applicants, up to 40 students will become Jack Kent Cooke Scholars and have access to funding for up to four years for undergraduate studies

The Elks National Foundation Scholarship
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2014 competition.
- Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply.
- Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
- College students are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
- Male and female students compete separately.
